How to prepare Skin Lightening Face Cream
Fenugreek
The first ingredient we need to prepare the cream is one tablespoon of fenugreek seeds. Fenugreek is called Vendayam in Tamil and Methi in Hindi. It is one of the best products to use for hair and skin care. If you apply it on your skin regularly, your skin will be completely blemish free.
Aloe Vera Gel
The next thing we need is aloe vera gel. I was debating between using aloe vera gel and flaxseed gel, but aloe vera gel works wonderfully for this recipe and we all know how good aloe vera gel is for our skin. Try to use one that is free of color and fragrance.
Turmeric
The last ingredient we need is Kasturi Turmeric powder. Musk Turmeric has amazing anti-bacterial and skin lightening properties and I highly recommend using it. It also does not stain the skin like normal turmeric.
To prepare the cream, coarsely grind one tablespoon of fenugreek seeds in a dry mix and take it in a bowl. Now add 1/2 cup water to it. Boil this mixture on low to medium flame. Very soon the water will turn yellow. You can now add quarter teaspoon of musk turmeric powder or while making the cream.
How to apply skin lightening cream on face?
After five minutes, switch off and drain. Here I have boiled fenugreek separately without adding turmeric powder to show the color of fenugreek infusion. To prepare the cream, add one tablespoon of unscented aloe vera gel to a cup. Add 1/4 teaspoon of Kasturi turmeric powder to it. Finally add a teaspoon of fenugreek extract. Now mix well with a spoon to get a smooth cream.
Although turmeric powder can be mixed like this, I recommend adding fenugreek seeds while boiling, which helps a lot in getting a smooth cream. Make sure to use a fine strainer to strain the decoction. To use, massage this amazing cream into your face and neck in upward motions for 3 to 4 minutes every night.
You can leave it on overnight or wash it off. I usually do wash it off. This cream feels very good on the skin and massaging with this cream every day and night is one of the best things you can do for your skin. It will greatly help in reducing scars and scars. This cream can be stored together at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for weeks.
